Skin of the Night

Volim modnu jesen 2012. I naravno - ništa bez omiljenih štikli

I really fell for Fall 2012. Although being accused of following trends became something really bad these days, I really enjoy confronting new (fashion) challenges from season to season. Even better so when they are conjunct with what I love anyway - edgy, minimalistic and powerful! Statement pieces work best when put on a simplistic base, so I opted for a monochromatic play of shiny and matte textures. Metallic cuff contrasted to black, textured OASAP necklace. Oh, and don't forget your favorite pair of heels!

Dead Flowers

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Just dropped by to tell you that it's finally done! A perfect denim vest from Nylon flea market, some DIY studding and one slide film that should have been shot 10 years ago. That lady from Berlin flea market need not telling me that it has been found in some store in Himalaias, I would have bought it anyway.

Young And Cold

 // I saw it you and me in time part
   // I get a shiver from broken hearts
// I like the sun where it don't shine
// I make it hard on anyone
// So many restless souls
// I don't wanna be young and cold

Analogno decembarsko prolece // Analog December spring

A onda kad postignete savršen položaj ruke, obavezno pokvarite nešto drugo. I onda ispočetka. Rezultat - stotinak bezmalo istih fotografija, jednakih u svojoj nesavršenosti.

Osim toga, cross processing mnogo bolje izgleda kada stvarno cross processuirate film, umesto korišćenja Photoshop filtera.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I don't know about you, but I've realized I prefer analog over digital photography. Although Yashica film has only a dozen shots, I usually manage to squeeze in at least two outfits and much more joy than on couple of dozens of digital photos. Being photographed with Yashica resembles a lot of taking an X-ray image by your doctor -it takes a lot of adjusting, trying to find the right position, and then there is the stop breathing moment. After that comes the sweet anxiety of waiting for a film to develop.

Whenever I'm being photographed with a digital camera I have this innate urge to review images right away and try to correct everything I can on the spot. Which is really not bad, except when you slip into obsessive repeating of a single pose, trying to perfect it. But there will always be something wrong with it - if you've made your arms look perfect, your legs would look blah. The result - couple of dozens of photos, all looking  the same, all equally imperfect.

Except that, cross processing does look better if you actually cross process the film, instead of using a Photoshop filter.

My favorite pastime during cold winter days is remembering of warm and sunny ones. These photos were taken last October, during the last breath of Indian summer.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

This is the same place at the same time(no, the Sun has not set in the meantime), but seen from a cross processed perspective. You might have already seen the rest of cross processed photos from that film here. What do you think, I really love the darker background + aristocratic(or deathly, it's relative:) pale complexion...?

Malo putovanje kroz vreme // A little time travel

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

To 2008 or 1993, that's the only thing I'm not sure about. In 2008 I had no blog, and in 1993 I had no Internet.

I really love Internet, for million reasons, one of them surely being its power to make one ironic homage to fashion icons and their bigger-than-life logos a worldwide popular game for bloggers. From Swedish gods 5PREVIEW (who started it all!), over a DIY reaction from bloggers, to my interpretation. It might be 3 years too late, but it is also inspired by a local icon. Not a fashion one, though.

If you expose yourself to more than 10 seconds of work of this national heroine, you'll see that there was really no other way.

Lilly Allen nije odolela, a ni Emina...ko nije bio, trk do njenog bloga, zbog ove i drugih DIY kreacija! // Lilly Allen could not resist, Emina couldn't either...if you haven't already visited her blog, do it ASAP, for this, and other DIY masterpieces...

Was there any other way?
