Midnight in Paris

Baš kao i Allenov film Ponoć u Parizu, zimska kolekcija fascinatora (reč je em legitimna, em dobro zvuči :) Piersa Atkinsona nostalgična je za Parizom tridesetih. Kabare, mračne ulice i sumnjivi likovi, sav taj glamur poročnog života. Nikako neophodni, ali savršeno damski, fascinatori će humorom i ekstravagancijom začiniti svaki vaš outfit. Odgovor je da, rado bih prošetala Paris neon na glavi.

Just like Allen's Midnight in Paris,  Piers Atkinson's AW 2011 collection is all about nostalgia for 1930s Paris. Cabaret, dark alleys and all that sinister glamour. Surely not a bare necessity, but truly ladylike, fascinator hats will add a dash of humor and extravaganza to any outfit. And the answer is yes, I would proudly wear my neon Paris around. 


Ako iza svakog uspešnog muškarca stoji žena, iza svakog uspešnog dizajnera stoji fashionista promoter(ka).  Lady Gaga očigledna je asocijacija, ali omiljena muza Piersa Atkinsona definitivno je Anna Dello Russo. // If  behind every successful man stands a great woman, every designer needs his/hers fashionista muse.  Lady Gaga might comes first into mind, but Piers Atkinson's favorite girl is definitely Anna Dello Russo.

Audrey 2.0


Iako sam božićno dete, izjašnjavam se kao jako zimogrožljiva. Zimu najbolje podnosim u proleće, dok gledam AW kolekcije. Kada vidim svo ono lepo pletivo, krzno i čizme, poželim pad temeperature, ali mi entuzijazam opadne sa prvim upornim jesenjim kišama i sivim danima.

Ti dani su došli, a mene više ne raduju ni vuna, ni kaputi, ni koža, već razigrani prolećni detalji. I Tsumori Chisato i ja izgleda volimo film How to Steal a Million, posebno Odrin Givenchy šeširić i naočare, koji tako dobro idu uz njen pink kabriolet.

Ako ne greju spolja, makar mogu iznutra.

Despite being a Christmas kid, I really don't like cold. I love winter best in spring, while browsing through AW collections. When I see all that beautiful knit, fur and booties I even wish for a temperature drop, but all my enthusiasm melts with first gray days and autumn rains.

Those days are here, and when there's no wool coat that can bring back a smile to my face, I rather look for  playful spring details. It seems that Tsumori Chisato et moi have the same taste in movies - as she used one of my favorite movies, How to Steal a Million, as an inspiration for her AW 2011 collection. Audrey looks so good with this Givenchy white ensemble, especially while she drives her pink convertible.

They might not help keep you warm from the outside, but sure will from the inside.

PETA za petama // Red or...

Da ne živimo u Srbiji, sigurno bi mi bila.

Ne znam, nemam ambiciju da pokrećem još jedno pitanje na koje nema, niti pravog, niti jedinstvenog odgovora. Polijte me crvenom farbom, ali mi je licemerno da ignorišem maminu lisicu (ili njene ostatke) u ormaru, kad već nosim isključivo kožnu obuću i povremeno jedem meso. Jeste da mi je na jelovniku samo piletina, ali sam sigurna da te jadne piliće nisu tretirali ništa bolje od životinja uzgajanih zbog krzna.

Istina, ne koriste se u modne svrhe samo životinje iz kontrolisanog uzgoja. Sa druge strane, sigurna sam da ni Kinezi ne obraćaju previše pažnje koliko štete životnoj sredini nanose hemikalije koje koriste u proizvodnji veštačkog krzna.

Dosta pro et contra-isanja, obećala sam sebi, a i vama, da neću ulaziti u ovo. Pripremite crvenu farbu.

I don't really have an ambition of asking yet another question there is not, or at least there is not only one, answer. Splash me with red paint, but I would be a hypocrite to ignore fur from my mother's closet and keep on going with my only-leather-shoes policy. And although I don't eat too much meat, that being poultry exclusively, I'm sure those chickens were not treated with more care than fur-bred animals.

Yes, you're right, this world is unfortunately not a perfect place where they use only animals from controlled sources. Speaking of an imperfect world, I'm sure biggest producers of faux fur, Chinese, do not pay much attention to the environmental effect toxic chemicals used in production process have.

See, this is exactly what I wanted to avoid...pro et contra ad infinitum. Ad nauseum.

Po meni je ove sezone najlepše krzno imao Gucci (ono petrolej!), ali ipak ga je najbolje nosio Dries. // Gucci's teal fur might get the award for the most beautiful this season, but Dries definitely wore it best.

I za kraj, evo kako sam ja reciklirala višak nasleđene taskidermije po stanu. // And for the end, here's my recycling take on some inherited taxidermy goods.
