Ko nema očekivanja, ne može se ni razočarati. Istini za volju, naša su bila niska, a kada na to se doda nedostatak svakog plana - dobar provod bio je neizbežan! Malo slobodnog prostora, a puno dobre energije i poznatih lica, recept je koji mi je, u poređenju sa guranjem po opštim (gradskim) mestima, sve privlačniji koncept. Što se outfita tiče, nije mi prvi put da kradem od čika Karla. I naravno, neizbežna MMM ogrlica, ne moram da vas upoznajem :) Kako ste se vi proveli?

If you expect nothing, you won't be disappointed. Our expectations surely were quite low, and when you add complete lack of any plan to the equation - a great night out is simply inevitable! A bit of free space, a bit more of friendly faces and plenty of good energy became a concept I would choose over clubs crowded with people (but with few friends) in no time. When it comes to New Year's Eve party outfit, it's not my first time stealing from Mr. Lagerfeld. And, of course, the inevitable MMM keyring necklace...I'll skip the introduction :) Hope you've spent some quality holiday time, too!

Potpuno bojkotujem (pred)novogodišnju histeriju. Dobro, nekoliko puta iskorišćen ali-Nova-Godina-je izgovor pri kupovini potpuno nevezanih odevnih predmeta se ne računa. Ne znam ni kad, ni gde, ni šta ću (obući), ali sigurno ćemo biti zajedno. Ništa drugo i nije bitno.

Sigurno se sećate ove neuspele ombre čorbe? Evo i famozne vojničke košulje, konačno sam je završila -  sada je pravi momenat da zažmurite na jedno oko i zamišljate da je gornja polovina crna :) Temu novogodišnjeg outfita elegantno ću zaobići, jer ni ja još ne znam. Videćemo/videćete sve, kada razvijem fotke :)

I trying to keep the all the New Year's Eve hysteria outside behind the closed door. Ok, ok...it's-holiday-season excuse I used several times in the last couple of days when buying several (not so festive!) pieces, doesn't count. I still don't know when, or where, or what (will I wear), but I'm sure we'll all be together. And that's all that counts.

Remember this ombre fail attempt? I finally finished that camo shirt and now it would the right moment to turn the blind eye and start pretending that it's black in the upper half :) New Year's eve party outfit wise, just  don't ask...you'll see it all when I develop films and scan photos :)

Samo sam svratila da vam kažem da sam se ponovo zaljubila u The xx. Kraj godine, pravo vreme za svođenje računa i pravljenje listi, a na mojoj samo jedno mesto - Coexist definitivno album godine, The xx najlepše koncertno iskustvo u proteklih 365 dana. Plus, još jedno veliko hvala Borjani, što je bila moj Deda Mraz, i dovela Margielu kući.

I just dropped by to tell you that I fell in love with The xx once again. The end of the year is the perfect time for making lists and mine has only one place - Coexist is definitely the album of the year, The xx best live experience in the past 365 days. Another chance to thank wonderful Borjana for being my Santa and helping Margiela come where it belongs. 

Kažu treća sreća. Ma, ništa im ja ne verujem. U teoriji je sve delovalo jednostavno - zašto u Zari platiti porez na idiote i kupiti lažnu, Made in China, maskirnu košulju, kada na Najlonu mogu lepo i patriotski da pazarim pravi military? Iako bi vam većina mojih prijatelja potvrdila da je moj duži boravak za šporetom sigurna najava smaka sveta, bila sam uporna, i čak tri puta pokušavala da ofarbam svoju vojničku košulju (klasa 2010, samo da se zna :) Naravno da je košulja bila impregnirana, da jadni vojnici ne bi pokisli, ali zato sam se ja osetila najpokislije na svetu kada sam shvatila da nema ništa od planiranog ombrovanja. Jedan nula za Zaru. 

Manje iz ideje i plana, a više iz čiste frustracije grabim široku belu majicu za po kući, makaze rade svoje, potom je ubacujem je u farbu koja se i dalje krčka na šporetu. Šteta da se baci. A onda - magija, radost neplaniranog - možda se košulja nije dala, ali je zato majica ispala baš kako treba! Ovu wannabe Givenchy ogrlicu sam morala da imam, opsesije su ipak opsesije. Za kraj, DIY mrežasta haljina, stari znanac, ovaj put u novoj ulozi!

They say third time’s the charm, but I don’t buy it. Everything seemed perfectly easy in theory – why paying the idiot tax for a faux, Made in China camo shirt in Zara, when I can do the patriotic deed and thrift the real military from Nylon flea market? Even though most of my friends would read my prolonged stay around the stove as a sure sign that the end of the World is coming, I was really (three times) determined to dip dye my camo shirt (class of 2010 :).  Military equipment is impregnated to keep the soldiers dry, but I surely felt as if someone has rained on my parade when I realized that the ombre camo shirt I imagined is simply not happening. Damn you Zara, you won this time!

Without an apparent plan, but 100% frustrated, I grab my stay-at-home-evenings plain white tee, cut the sleeves and dip it into the boiling dye. Nothing goes to waste. And then – the magic of the unexpected – I might not have planned it, but I’ve surely loved how my ombre tee turned out! SS 2013 obsessions are here to stay, so I simply had to have this wannabe Givenchy choker necklace. You all remember this DIY mesh dress, only this time in a different role!
