Haute, hot...Givenchy!

U centru pažnje, naravno - alke u nosu.

There's always been a special place in my heart for movies from the past decades that tried to (fore)see the future. No matter that time has proved futurist predictions from 1920s irrelevant, I find those gadgets, furniture and wardrobe so romantic, as if they're artifacts from some parallel universe that simply did not happen. Riccardo Tisci's haute couture collection for Givenchy is just like that, contemporary and eclectic at the same time, as if they came from that very parallel world. Tisci said he was inspired by Fritz Lang's cult film Metropolis and its art deco aesthetics. Playing the role of 1920s costume designer, Riccardo Tisci is trying to paint the future using the means of past.

In the center of attention are, of course - nose rings. I absolutely love them but would only wear the pain-free fake ones...What do you think?

Ista modna kuća, druga sezona - Givenchy je u svojoj AW 2012 isti nakit namenio i dečacima. // Same name, different season - Givenchy used the same jewelry for boys, in their AW 2012 collection.

Jedna od muza sigurno je bila i Ethel Granger, žena sa najužim strukom u istoriji, koju je Stella Tennant divno oslikala u editorijalu The Discipline of Fashion, objavljenom u septembarskom izdanju italijanskog Vogue-a. // Ethel Granger, a World's tiniest waits, must have been Riccardo Tisci's muse of inspiration for this collection, too. We all remember The Discipline of Fashion, the amazing Richard Meisel's photoshoot for Vogue Italia, featuring fabulous Stella Tennant as Ethel Granger.

Clean slate

I, zaista - hvala.

Couple of weeks ago I thought I would have to start like that, from scratch. Without any heads-up or notion given, my blog has just disappeared. Let's get this straight - I did not start all this out of ambition to become someone or something that I'm already not, but from a practical need to have some record of my hobbies and interests, to which I devote most of my free time. Although my relationship with Blogger is in no case a serious one, I realized it was far from a summer fling either. When confronted with a horror of 'This blog has been removed' screen, I realized how much it all meant to me - I even caught myself saying 'But, but...all my life is there!'. I don't want to sound too dramatic, so I'll add that 'all my life' referred to a sudden disappearance of my Gmail account, as well.

So, I have to say one big Thank You. First of all, to my photographers - Dejan, Milica x2, Milan, Ivana...and everyone else I (ab)used as a photographer :) Thanks to everyone I met here, live or somewher in cyberspace, and our bloggers, who made me feel very welcome in their community. And, of course, to my followers - thank you for your opinions shared here, I value them very much. Speaking of people I have met through blogging, I will use Milan to stop this Oscar-worthy Thank You speech.

In a search for a perfect photoshoot location around Chinatown in Novi Sad I stumbled upon my faculty classmate Ivana, whom I haven't seen for ages. She's into photography, you know....Oh, was I saying something about people I met working on my blog?! :)
